Shelley Sedillo, SHRM-SCP, is a human resources professional with more than twenty years of experience in employee relations, HR compliance and best practices, and policy and procedure development. Areas of particular expertise include building and maintaining strong relationships, cultivating company culture and employee engagement, and strategies for recruitment and retention.

As a Senior People Operations/ HR Consultant for vcfo, Shelley designs and implements HR policy, designs and manages compensation plans, ensures regulatory compliance, and effectively partners with both leadership and workers to help companies like yours build organizational and team cultures and optimize productivity.

EXPERIENCE

Shelley began her professional career at St. David’s Medical Center, where she was promoted 4 times in 5 years. She went on to become the Human Resources Manager for the prestigious law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld for nearly a decade. She spent 6+ years as a Senior HR Consultant at Valentine HR, providing strategic and day-to-day HR services to startups, small and mid-sized businesses, and nonprofits. Before joining the vcfo team, Shelley was VP of HR for Bridgemoor Transitional Care for several years. Shelley is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and has her SHRM-SCP certification.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

Shelley enjoys spending time with her family, especially watching her daughters play volleyball. She loves relaxing near the water—lake or ocean.
