The Denver Business Journal CFO of the Year Awards recognize the region’s top financial executives for their strategic leadership, financial stewardship, and impact on the growth and health of the organizations they serve. Nominees are drawn from companies across Colorado’s most active industries, and honorees are celebrated at an awards event hosted by the Denver Business Journal.
With more than 30 years of senior financial and operational leadership, Carter operates as an extension of his clients’ leadership teams, owning financial strategy and sharing responsibility for the outcome. He works with companies across aerospace and defense, biotechnology, technology, manufacturing, and community behavioral health, helping leaders connect strategy to cash, capacity, and sustainable growth.
Beyond his client work, Carter is active across Colorado’s innovation community, including the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association, the Colorado Space Business Roundtable, and the Denver Advisory Board, where he serves as Treasurer and board member.
