About Jess Pass

EXPERIENCE

Jess started her career at Schneider Electric, where she was responsible for all HRBP functions for a department of 500 employees across the U.S., Moscow, and Asia-Pacific regions. She moved into a compensation analyst role there, in which she analyzed, audited, and executed compensation statements for employees around the world.

She then moved into project-based contract work. Among other work, she restructured HR infrastructure, company job descriptions, roles, and grading for the nonprofit Ounce of Prevention Fund; served as senior total rewards HR business partner for Tribune Publishing; executed global HR training and sales
programs for 1,500 employees at Twitter; and, for Omaze, led HR Talent and Operations, scaling the people department and overseeing company compensation philosophy, people strategy, and culture initiatives.

Jess then went to work as a bilingual HRBP consultant, specializing in system and payroll implementations, M&A PEO transitions, HR employee relations, handbook evaluations, and performance management for clients such as Agility Logistics, an international logistics/transport company; GreenParkSports, a gaming company; and Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula, a nonprofit supporting students in California.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

Jess has played basketball since she was eight years old and also played in college. She also loves hiking, swimming, and is an avid yogi, breathwork, and meditation enthusiast. She also tutors in Spanish/ conversational skills and enjoys traveling.
