Kimberly Major
Consulting CFO & Sr Controllers Team Lead
Kimberly Major joins vcfo as a Consulting CFO, with more than 20 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management. As a CFO, Kimberly works hard to foster and enhance collaborative, data-driven cultures. Indeed, she seeks to build relationships on both sides of a merger or acquisition table. With trust and communication, she's found that agreements can be signed so much faster.
Kimberly also knows that a good foundation is vital for newly merged businesses. She's led post-acquisition compensation design, aligned sales plans, and implemented financial planning and analysis across industries as diverse as software and manufacturing.
Equally comfortable as a collaborator and leader, Kimberly enjoys working closely with executives, helping them understand complex financial matters, motivate their vital workforce, and assess new opportunities.

About Kimberly Major
EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining vcfo, Kimberly was the director of finance and operations for a Houston-based consulting company. In addition to managing the firm’s numbers, she also led the merger and acquisition due diligence and the post-merger integration work.
When a large international consultant acquired the firm, Kimberly became the director of finance and global deal execution lead for the buyer, where she advised executive leadership, supported international financial operations, and facilitated a successful integration of newly acquired entities. Earlier, Kimberly managed financial operations for a software company and worked as controller for a Louisiana-based manufacturer.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Kimberly volunteers for Cycle Houston, a charity dedicated to improving second grade literacy in Houston’s Title I schools. When young students achieve their goals, they have an opportunity to earn a bicycle, learning that hard work yields rewards.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Kimberly runs a small farm with her family, caring for diverse animals. In addition, she enjoys summer camping and boating.
