About Kerry Carney
EXPERIENCE
Before joining vcfo, Kerry served in CFO and COO roles at Ark Financial and E78 Partners, where he led strategic planning, financial performance improvements, internal controls, and numerous M&A initiatives including due diligence, deal execution, and post-close integration.
As CFO of Compeat, he oversaw FP&A, accounting, HR, legal, treasury, and reporting; integrated a merger with an equal-sized competitor; refinanced $22 million in debt; and implemented NetSuite and other ERP tools to streamline operations.
Earlier in his career, Kerry served as CEO and CFO of Profiles International—doubling EBITDA and supporting its integration into John Wiley & Sons—and held senior finance roles at Knowledge Universe, Neiman Marcus, CompUSA, and Eckerd, where he led SEC reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, treasury, and large-scale system conversions.

Kerry serves as a mentor to undergraduate students at The University of Texas McCombs School of Business.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Kerry enjoys time with his family and is an avid sports fan and Longhorn supporter. He also enjoys golf, travel, live music, and spending time with his dogs.
