Taunya Conte joins vcfo as a Consulting CFO, with more than 15 years of experience in financial operations and mergers and acquisitions. As a CFO, Taunya has focused on building relationships, from executives and new hires, to investment bankers, clients, and vendors. While easygoing and approachable, she's very results-focused in a "show me the data" way.
Taunya understands that people are the driving force behind innovation and business success. She's hired key contributors in an array of departments and directed the opening of an entirely new office time zones away from a company's headquarters.
As a collaborator and communicator, Taunya enjoys working closely with leaders, helping them manage growth, foster a positive work culture, and assess new acquisition opportunities.

About Taunya Conte
EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining vcfo, Taunya was a financial accounting consultant. She offered a wide array of clients thoughtful and savvy financial guidance and operational support.
Previously, Taunya was the CFO for a privately-held documentation software company headquartered in San Diego. While overseeing daily operations in accounting, human resources, and customer services, she also made herself indispensable. For example, in 2018, she was charged with opening the company’s new office in Austin, recruiting a new team and rallying them around the culture and business practices that had proved so successful. Later, when the company sought to be acquired, Taunya led the strategic planning, prepared detailed financial presentations, and worked closely with investment bankers to successfully close the transaction in 2021.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
For several years, Taunya has served as liaison between her children’s high school athletic department, football coaches, and varsity team parents. In addition, she helps lead the Class of 2026 Project Graduation team, overseeing mum production and sales.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
As a gourmand and barbecue aficionado, Taunya enjoys being challenged by her kids who regularly find unique recipes on TikTok they want her to replicate.
