EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining vcfo, Elbert’s career includes Controller, CFO, and Vice President positions for organizations such as NBG Home, Premier Designs, Inc., Missouri Walnut, and Advanced Sleep. During this time, he designed and implemented a private label credit card program with a 180 day same as cash option that reduced credit card fees 75% and grew revenue by 25% in first year, led a severely cash-strapped company through seven months of operations and successful sale to a third party, negotiated reopening a shuttered manufacturing facility with investment help from the state of Pennsylvania’s economic development department, and selected and implemented several ERP systems. Elbert also holds the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant; Certified Management Accountant; Chartered Global Management Accountant; Certificate in Forensic Accounting.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Elbert currently serves as the treasurer for his local homeowner’s association. He is also active in Ridgecrest Summer Camps Alumni Association – a nonprofit organization founded to further the mission of Camp Ridgecrest: to help boys grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally in a faith-based environment.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Elbert is a proud family man. Together, he and his family travel across the country to explore the great outdoors. His downtime is also spent working on DIY home projects, keeping up with college sports, and reading.
