David Deslatte is a highly skilled consulting controller with 30+ years of experience in an array of private and public entities in industries such as construction, shipbuilding, and heavy equipment. He has been deeply involved in ERP implementations, insurance negotiations, ERISA, government contracting, and M&A.
David comes to the vcfo team with proven success conceptualizing and implementing strategic financial solutions, as well as finely tuned skills to help clients achieve long-term, growth, profitability, and goal. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Financial Executives networking group.

About David Deslatte
EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining vcfo, David has experience as a controller, senior financial advisor, and CFO. He has handled due diligence for two acquisitions, overseen SEC reporting, developed strategic financial transactions to maintain liquidity, and implemented regulatory safeguards. At Array Products, he managed the due diligence and operational execution for the disposition of a major business segment. Later, as CFO for APG Holdings, he helped with the sale of a major subsidiary and later the parent company to a private equity firm for substantial gain. In 2019, he formed Deslatte Enterprises, GaP Advisors, serving Dallas and Houston clients.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
In his free time, David enjoys golfing, duck hunting, saltwater fishing, and spending time with his family and dog, Murphy. He and his wife Renee are recent empty nesters and proud parents of three college graduates.
