Micheal McVey

EXPERIENCE

Before joining vcfo, Mike served as CFO & COO for Identity Architects, where he oversaw finance, treasury, HR, and operations, leading process modernization, ERP implementation, and PEO transition initiatives that enhanced visibility and efficiency across the organization. Earlier, as CFO & COO at Nanoracks, a commercial space company supporting missions to the International Space Station, he built out financial infrastructure, implemented NetSuite, and guided the company through a successful sale to Voyager Space.

Previously, Mike held senior finance and operational leadership roles at GE Oil & Gas (Wood Group ESP), TD Williamson, and Pratt & Whitney Aerospace. In these positions, he directed teams of professionals, managed contract negotiations, and oversaw global project bids. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for establishing financial rigor, restoring transparency in complex reporting environments, and mentoring emerging leaders in both finance and operations.

Mike holds an MBA from the University of Tulsa and a B.S. in Business Admin & Management from Kansas State University. He is a former CPA in Oklahoma.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

Micheal moved to Houston in 2019 to be closer to his granddaughters, and he and his wife routinely seek out great new restaurants. Although still a passionate foodie, Micheal has retired from the world of BBQ competitions and catering.
