Kristen Kosla joins vcfo as a Senior Controller, bringing more than 15 years of accounting and finance leadership experience across construction, defense, transportation, and logistics organizations. A Certified Public Accountant, she partners with leadership teams to strengthen financial operations, improve reporting accuracy, and support informed business decision-making.
Kristen brings extensive experience building and leading full-cycle accounting functions, implementing internal controls, and delivering timely, accurate financial reporting. Her background includes managing audits, improving cash flow and DSO, and supporting complex environments requiring job costing, contract accounting, and regulatory compliance.

About Kristen Kosla
EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining vcfo, Kristen served in senior accounting leadership roles, including Controller and Finance Manager, where she led end-to-end accounting operations across multi-entity and project-based organizations. She has overseen general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and board-level reporting, while partnering closely with executive teams to support operational and financial decisions.
Kristen has led multiple external and single audits with consistent clean opinions, improved cash flow by reducing DSO, and enhanced financial visibility through strengthened processes and reporting. Her experience includes overseeing job costing and WIP reporting, supporting ASC 606 revenue recognition, and ensuring compliance within government and defense contracting environments.
She has also led ERP system implementations and conversions, including transitioning from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms, improving reporting accuracy and operational efficiency while delivering projects on time and under budget.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Kristen serves as Treasurer and philanthropy liaison for the National Charity League and is a former troop leader with the Girl Scouts of America.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Kristen enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and two rescue dogs. She is an avid traveler and enjoys activities such as pickleball, hiking, biking, and digital scrapbooking.
